A reconstruction bundle is typically built to include the parts of the surgical episode that you would otherwise be billed for piecemeal. Depending on your case, that commonly covers:
The surgeon fee for the ACL reconstruction itself
The surgery center (facility) fee for your time in the operating room
Anesthesia services during the procedure
Standard implants and graft fixation used in the reconstruction
Routine follow-up visits tied to the surgical episode

The surgeon-led rehab plan
A great reconstruction is only half the job. The outcome you feel a year later depends heavily on rehab, and at JOI rehab is surgeon-led and coordinated with our in-house physical therapy.
Dr. Christie Booth Smith, PT, DPT, KEOMPT, leads integrated physical therapy so your rehab progression stays aligned with how your graft is healing. Early phases protect the reconstruction, restore range of motion, and calm swelling. Later phases build strength, control, and the confidence to cut, pivot, and return to your sport. Because the surgeon and the therapist are on the same team, your milestones are coordinated rather than guessed at.
Physical therapy at JOI has its own transparent pricing. An initial PT evaluation and treatment (60 minutes) is 235 dollars, a subsequent 60-minute session is 195 dollars, and an evaluation plus five sessions package is 1,000 dollars. Your full rehab course is mapped out so you can plan ahead.
When surgery is and is not the answer
We will be honest with you about whether you need surgery at all. Not every ACL injury requires reconstruction. Activity level, tear pattern, knee stability, and your goals all factor into the decision. Some patients do well with structured rehab and activity modification. Others, especially athletes returning to cutting and pivoting sports, are better served by reconstruction.
Your path starts with an evaluation. An in-person new patient office visit (45 minutes) is 400 dollars, and we can typically see you in days, not months. If you prefer to start remotely, a virtual second opinion or new patient tele-visit (30 minutes) is 350 dollars. For patients who would rather be seen at home or on-site, our mobile medical unit consult (45 minutes) is 500 dollars.
